Naturally, you have questions—and the first one, only you can answer: How do you feel about yourself? Breast enlargement surgery enhances your appearance but the benefit is more personal. It's a confidence in the way you carry yourself. It's having some control over body image that allows your inner beauty to shine.

Breast augmentation is a positive option for women who have a specific goal of improving their body image and a realistic vision of how it can enhance their lifestyle. It’s for women who are uncomfortable with the unflattering fit of clothing or swimwear designed for a different body type. It’s for women who seek to restore volume after weight loss or pregnancy.

Are you ready for breast enlargement?

The ideal candidate for breast enlargement surgery is a woman who knows what she wants to accomplish and makes an informed decision with her surgeon. A woman can be any age but, in most cases, the breast should be fully matured. Other ideal attributes include good overall health, non-smoker, and a positive outlook.

The Breast Enlargement Procedure

Implants in 3D

About the Surgery

Breast enlargement surgery is a cosmetic procedure using medical grade, biocompatible silicone-shells filled with saline or silicone gel. Clinical studies have shown that either saline filled or gel filled implants are safe. The augmentation is performed as an outpatient procedure in a fully equipped surgical facility. Other notable points:

  • No drug or non-surgical procedure can replicate the results of breast enlargement surgery
  • Results are immediately visible and will become more defined as swelling subsides
  • The procedure should not interfere with breast feeding or other natural functions.
  • Placement and size considerations will be determined by body type, breast anatomy and desired results.

Throughout the process, you’ll have questions and Dr. Hall will provide all the information you need to make informed decisions.

Dr. Hall uses the Natrelle Collection of implants as well as the Mentor® implants and works with each patient to find her ideal fit. The Natrelle Collection is a product of Allergan’s 25-year history of breast aesthetics, science and innovation. Mentor has a long history of clinical studies including studies in cooperation with the FDA. Dr. Hall is accredited with both Natrelle and Mentor for the use of their FDA-approved implants.

Risks

Your safety is our first priority and we take extraordinary measures to ensure your comfort and complete satisfaction. However, no medical procedure is without risk. Dr. Hall fully explains any potential concerns during consultation so that every patient is confident and comfortable about the prospects for a healthy, worry-free breast augmentation. Possible complications and side effects include, breast discomfort and swelling, bleeding, infection, improper healing of incisions, changes in breast sensitivity, implant leakage or rupture, skin wrinkling over area of implant, and anesthesia-related risks. Also, In some cases, a treatable condition called capsular contraction may occur in which scar tissue causes the breast to feel firmer than normal. Pregnancy, menopause or changes in weight may alter the appearance of breasts at any time. Patients should know that implants are not guaranteed for a lifetime and may require replacement.

Recovery Time

In most cases, patients can return to light-duty tasks the next day and be back on the job within a week. After two weeks, no restrictions are necessary and activities can return to normal. Patients can resume intimate contact in 4 to 6 weeks. Incisions, while visible, are inconspicuously located and will fade substantially over the first year.

Follow-up

Swelling and some discomfort are to be expected following breast enlargement surgery. Dr. Hall will provide specific instructions on medications, cleaning, dressing and bandages used in the recovery process. A follow-up visit will be scheduled usually within a few days after surgery.
